About the Role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily coordination of production requirements within their department in order to achieve the required Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) measurable. The coordination of activities also encompasses the areas of quality, safety and maintenance needs within their department.

Your Responsibilities

 Work with scheduling and production management to set daily production priorities.
• Ensure that established OEE quality/availability/performance and safety standards are communicated and achieved within the department.
• Where an established OEE or safety standard is not being met, identify the root cause and take the appropriate action.
• Ensure that operators use standard work and associated tools to meet standards.
• Maintain 5-S standards and measures within the department.
• Conduct team meetings with departmental employees covering current OEE, product, quality and safety information.
• Initiate employee counseling and disciplinary action.
• Maintain close communication and coordination with other production departments and shifts to ensure priorities are met.
• Maintain communication with other non-production departments within the company.
• Ensure that training requirements for each departmental employee are identified and plans are in place to close gaps.
• Ensure that environmental standards are identified, communicated and enforced within the department.
• Perform a minimum of one yearly performance evaluation for each departmental employee.
• Provide support for business systems goals, ensuring that all applicable requirements are met.
• Provide support in the attainment of Techform's "Quality Operating System" goals as outlined be the key graphs.
• Carry out all duties focusing on the goal of internal and external customer satisfaction.
 

Who we are looking for

• Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent is an asset
• Superior organizational and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of the occupational health and safety act
• A minimum of three (3) years, preferably in a team lead role, is desirable.
