Injection Molding Process Technician- 3rd Shift

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates and improves molding processes to include automation where appropriate.
• Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Confers with management, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Establish proper documentation, write operation instructions and maintain process books.
• Perform DOE's and FMEA's.
• Monitor scrap percentages and improve levels.
• Interface with quality control and make sure products are being produced up to QC standards.
• Troubleshoot molding machines and new tools.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Conduct and/or participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Apply synchronous manufacturing concepts to enhance mold processes and generate appropriate data to support conclusions.

• 2 years related experience - Preferred
• 4-year degree in plastics engineering - Preferred
• RJG Certified - Preferred
