Role Summary

The Purchasing Platform Lead – Core Development leads the Strategical Purchasing aspect of the Core Products, represents Global Purchasing within Core Product Development Team, strategize supply base, and align supplier performance to achieve product expectations and technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead Purchasing activities develop and execute Purchasing Strategies for Core Products based on supply base capabilities, technologies, business and market trends to achieve Core Product goals, objectives, and requirements. 
•    Obtain the most competitive production and non-production materials, consumables, machinery, equipment, software, licenses, tooling, testing, and services needed for the Core Product. 
•    Actively participate and work with category Managers in developing Commodity Strategies to achieve supplier performance as required per the Product Strategies. 
•    Lead supplier selection decision and all commercial discussions with suppliers for the Core Products, with support from cross functional team. 
•    Prepare supply base for successful Program Quotation and sourcing, remove roadblocks, close gaps on the requirements. 
•    Support developing new suppliers, start-ups, business engagement models to obtain timely performance expectations
 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration – required
•    Relevant experience within the automotive electronics – preferred
•    Knowledge of product development practices in the automotive field - preferred
•    Advanced knowledge of MS Office package
•    Comprehensive knowledge of English (verbal and written)
