Role Summary
The Vehicle Integration Engineer (Customer Demos) works with the Global Vehicle Demonstration Team in collaboration with different engineering teams on various product developments. You will have the responsibility to integrate product relevant Hardware and Software into demonstration vehicles. Develop demonstration related system specifications and define of specific Hardware and Software needs, will also be covered by your role. You will ensure that the complete system is up to date, calibrated and is working as expected. Trouble shooting of unexpected issues and performing of tests to give your rate to the available systems will be part of your tasks. The support and execution of customer demonstrations will be in your responsibility as well. If ADAS systems are your passion and you want to get them working as one on the first on the street, you would be the perfect candidate for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- All test system relevant components are working in the expected way and the system performance has the expected quality.
- The System, Hardware and Software specification is available for your assigned system.
- Project specific integration work is related to the specific project milestone.
- New requests are properly prepared and scheduled in collaboration with the project management. (resources, competences, process, equipment, RASIC, etc.)
- Internal and external suppliers are closely tracked to assure a high quality and cost efficiency.
- Process and project requirements are met.
- The project management is informed about delivery delays and you will support the work on a mitigation strategy.
- All project specific subcontractors are coordinated.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar
- Experience in ADAS development, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or similar
- Practical know how of ADAS development frameworks is desirable (e.g. ADTF, ROS, ROS2, ControlDesk…)
- Good practical knowledge about electrical schematics is desirable
- Practical mechanical ability to install and remove system components is desirable
- Knowledge of structured problem solving (8D)
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly, control techniques
- Know-How in ADAS sensor and system
