Role Summary

The Workday Program Manager is a dual role that will be primarily responsible for managing Workday implementation and enhancement projects.  When projects are not in progress, the incumbent will be working with the Workday Functional team on the ongoing administration, development and support of Workday, which will require gathering of requirements, solving issues, and developing and executing new enhancements. Workday modules include Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management and Benefits (for NA).

Key Responsibilities

As a Functional Analyst:
•    Provides Workday subject matter functional expertise for day to day support and development including business process configuration, data upload (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support
•    Develops and drives innovative and proactive change efforts for HR process improvements, including enhancements to end user experience
•    Participates in deployment of new businesses: map current processes and data, identify gaps with Workday processes, recommend changes, define requirements, configure, test and validate changes

 

As a Program Manager, responsible for:
•    Manages the bi-annual releases, including analysis of impacts of new functionality, testing of integrations and cross functional up and downstream analysis 
•    Manages Workday implementation and enhancement projects through all life cycles stages, and executes the tasks as defined in the project plan to achieve the project goals.
•    Maintains standard project management documentation and metrics and work directly with internal and external customers, other project leads, and ongoing operations to deliver successful implementation and manage scope.
•    Manages stakeholder expectations and communicate with all levels within the organization.
•    Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify variances, and perform required corrective actions.
•    Manages changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes as defined in the change management plan
•    Manages risks and mitigation plans, and track actions, issues and decisions through to completion in order to minimize the impact on the project.
•    Contributes to knowledge management capital through activities such as sharing documented lessons learned, documented deliverables, and facilitation of Workday Workshops.
 

Knowledge and Education

Completion of University Degree

Work Experience

3 to 5 years of work related experience.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    3-5 year’s Workday functional experience
•    Previous experience in managing Workday projects in a global organization
•    Proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change.
•    Excellent oral and written communications skills.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization - both internal and external
•    Excellent collaborator and a team player and strong interpersonal skills to support team building
•    Awareness of cultural diversity and can embrace and capitalize those differences; applies knowledge in decision-making process.
•    Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
•    Well-developed root-cause analytical skills with the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues and defects 
•    Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
•    Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information 
•    Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
•    Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities 
•    Ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment
•    Focus on quality and customer service
•    Working knowledge of the Workday implementation methodology
