Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. About the Role

In charge of gathering and analyzing data, creating reports, generating plant layout recommendations, identifying, and developing process changes for the company using lean techniques. Collaborates with other departments to identify quality and efficiency issues. Responsible for making recommendations or implementing changes to improve efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Document processes, instructions, recommendations, and key metrics.
  • Analyze equipment and safety specifications to provide recommendations.
  • Oversee transitions, upgrades, and shifts in job structure, including defining and tracking performance metrics.
  • Work with management to identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.
  • Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.
  • Develop standard procedures and policies to be followed by the Engineers.
  • Work with various teams to reduce process and business variations.
  • Assist Managers in management for capital projects.
  • Assist in implementation of automation technologies, included but not limited to AGV’s.
  • Complete Value Stream Mapping activities to assist organization in waste elimination.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years Industrial, Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement Engineer experience.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Production Systems, required.

  • Statistical Analysis experience preferred Leadership ability beneficial
  • Statistical Process Control education and/or experience, preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to interact at all levels within the company.
