Role Summary

The Service Owner Digital Process Optimization is responsible for the development, implementation, continuous improvement and support of engineering methods and tools for Electrical Engineering. Focus is at the intersection of processes, methods and tools to facilitate engineering processes efficiently by adequate methods and tools. Will be the on-site contact person for all topics in his area of responsibility. The position is located either in Alzenau or Munich in Germany, or in Auburn Hills, Michigan, US.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve efficient and effective digital processes to reach product development efficiency within a process compliant environment.
  • Achieve standardization of digital processes throughout the entire company across all our product lines and global locations
  • Ensure engineering processes are efficiently supported by tools by defining requirements for existing or new solutions.
  • Work with IT to maintain tool configuration and integrate new tools required for product development
  • Support development projects to achieve efficient utilization of engineering tools in line with defined methods
  • Foster user’s understanding how methods and tools are supporting their tasks and goal achievement
  • Enforce users’ adherence to methods by proper utilization of corresponding tools
  • Identifies potential, defines concepts and drives continuous improvement efforts for process and tools landscape as well as the department’s own internal processes, methods and tools.
  • Optimize overall efficiency (cost/benefit) holistically for methods and tools
  • Work with IT and vendors to develop enhanced functionalities
  • Host user forums and workshops as needed for both tools and methods. Lead functional user support globally as needed.
  • Promote and utilize lessons learned and best practices in areas of responsibility.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (Master’s preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ relevant working experience in this area.
