Role Summary

The Global Cyber Security Manager architects and implements ME’s global strategy for cyber security, in order to secure ME’s position among the leaders in the automotive industry in the area of cyber security. Responsibilities include managing the application of cybersecurity requirements, developing and maintaining new cybersecurity requirements, and validating the security level of targets products. Tasks include leading security assessments and identifying security requirements, coordinating how to apply security requirements to products in development, leading the development of new security requirements due to emerging threat technologies and performing product or in-vehicle testing to validate security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, implement and maintain ME’s global strategy for competency with Cyber Security
  • Identify the necessary cyber security processes required for compliance with the state of the art standards for all functional areas including engineering, operations, program management, and all other supporting functions.
  • Develop and maintain the cyber security processes including the necessary guidelines and templates, and incorporate them into the ME’s global product creation system (GPEP).
  • Deliver the training on the use and implementation of the cyber security processes.
  • Establish the customer programs support and compliance strategy including roles and responsibilities for the different functional areas and gain approval for the strategy from senior management.
  • Own and lead the Cyber Security Agreement with the customers during the program quotation phase, and ensure that the required level of resources is communicated to the functional areas and program management.
  • Own and conduct cyber security audits, reviews, and assessments for all relevant customer programs.
  • Ensure compliance with cyber security relevant regulations and standards
  • Coach and lead the cyber security engineers’ in the customer programs compliance activities.
  • Support quoting of projects that require Cyber Security.
  • Coach the program teams in the implementation of all required Cyber Security Standards.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor (Masters preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Software Engineering. Certification or courses in Cyber Security a plus.
  • Basic Program management experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar field
  • Comprehensive experience with in-vehicle automotive testing and development flow experience is a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge and interest in automotive network architectures, CAN communication and cybersecurity required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in delivering technical training and ability to work with all levels of the organization
