About the Role

The Analyst, Information Governance is primarily responsible to assist with the coordination, implementation, and execution of Magna’s Discovery Support Services (DSS) program. This role requires strong administration and general Microsoft Office knowledge to support cross-functional business stakeholders, including the internal audit, corporate security, and legal departments in a transparent and consistent manner. 

Your Responsibilities

•    Assist with issuing preservation holds
•    Assist with managing data collections – electronic and physical
•    Help identify, preserve, collect, produce, and manage information for Litigation and Investigations
•    Assist with managing third party vendors
•    Participate in strategy discussions in the event of audits, investigations, and/or litigation
•    Liaison between the Corporate Security, Internal Audit, and Legal organizations
•    Administer and maintain Magna’s Information Governance Matter Management (IGM2) system
•    Assist in maintaining Magna’s Global Record Retention Schedule (MGRRS)
•    Assist in responding to ISRC group mailbox inquiries
•    Assist with the development, coordination and monitoring of the ISRC’s global communications and mandatory training courses
•    Assist with managing Magna’s global physical records 
•    Provide information security classification direction 
•    Assist with Information Governance initiatives
•    Ability to work flexible hours as needed

 

Who we are looking for

•    General degree or similar preferred, either at certification, associate’s, or bachelor’s level
•    Minimum one to five years related work experience preferred
•    Strong Microsoft Office skills
•    Familiarity working in a decentralized company structure is an asset 
•    Strong customer service experience
•    Experience coordinating tasks for multiple projects in parallel

 

Your preferred qualifications

•    Experience working in a large corporation and/or law firm is an asset 
•    Compliance and Governance experience preferred
•    Experience working with global teams
