About the Role
The Implementation Lead, Payroll is responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of payroll and general ledger (GL) modules of Dayforce, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and harmonizing processes across Divisions. This role requires close collaboration with technical teams, external consultants, and divisional finance teams to support the design, build, and deployment phases of the project.
Your Responsibilities
Technical Implementation/Design
• Oversight and Collaboration: Oversee the completion and interpretation of payroll workbooks.
• Policy Clarification: Act as the primary contact for the System Integrator (SI) regarding pay and time policy clarification, and the extent of harmonization for pay calendars and pay codes.
• Design Sign-off: Provide final sign-off on the design and build phase of the implementation.
Training Development and Documentation
• Support Training Program: Assist the Training Lead in developing a comprehensive payroll training program.
• Training Deliverables Sign-off: Collaborate with the Training Lead to review and sign off on training deliverables.
Testing
• UAT Testing Support: Lead payroll UAT execution in collaboration with Functional Test Lead.
• Functional Testing and Sign-off: Unit test for global configuration changes, provide final sign-off on functional unit testing completed by the System Integrator (SI) if applicable.
• Parallel Payroll: Oversee the coordination, completion, and sign-off of parallel payroll processes.
Payroll and Audit Compliance/Governance
• Policy Oversight: Provide oversight on payroll functions, including the development and enforcement of policies and procedures.
• Legislative Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
• Audit Compliance: Maintain audit process compliance and develop minimum control procedures.
Calendar Harmonization
• Oversee the harmonization of pay calendars to ensure consistency across the organization.
General Ledger and Labour Metrics Implementation Oversight
• Discovery and Integration: Lead discovery calls in collaboration with the System Integrator (SI) GL configuration lead.
• Divisional Finance Guidance: Provide guidance to Divisional Finance teams on GL scoping and direction.
• Month-End Close (MEC) Support: Ensure that Month-End Close (MEC) processes are fully supported by the GL system.
• Integration Management: Lead the discovery, scoping, and timeline management of GL integration efforts.
• Functional Support: Offer functional support to the GL configuration team, ensuring alignment with payroll and labor metrics requirements.

• Experience working with external consultants and managing cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in payroll and financial systems, with experience in system integration and configuration.
