Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Finance with a strong focus on leading the OneStream month-end close automation initiative and driving process improvement and transformation within the accounting area. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall project delivery, including gathering and documenting business requirements, OneStream configuration, test and deployment activities, training content development and delivery, post-go-live support, and coordination with IT and OCM teams.
Additionally, this role will involve evaluating existing accounting processes, developing strategies to modernize and standardize accounting functions, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness globally. Furthermore, the job holder will be involved in managing the discovery phase for process mining technologies and in-house analytics in the accounting area. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, finance leaders, and stakeholders is critical for driving process improvements and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
OneStream Month End Close Automation:
- Manage the OneStream month-end close automation initiative, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Gather and document business requirements to align with project objectives.
- Oversee OneStream configuration, test, and deployment activities to optimize financial processes.
- Develop and deliver training content to enable efficient system utilization across teams.
- Provide post-go-live support and optimize OneStream performance to meet evolving needs.
- Coordinate with IT for seamless integration of the automation initiative.
- Collaborate with OCM for effective change management and communication activities.
- Support the development, validation, and ongoing tracking of benefits achieved through the initiative.
Process Mining and Analytics Implementation:
- Manage the discovery phase for process mining technologies and in-house analytics in the accounting area.
- Assist the Director of Finance Continuous Improvement in preparing management decisions based on process mining findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements based on analytics insights.
- Utilize analytics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
Continuous Improvement Leadership:
- Support the Director of Finance Continuous Improvement in developing a roadmap for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with finance leaders and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support change management efforts to drive successful process improvements.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with finance leaders, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and manage their expectations.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to executive management.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge and Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and industry best practices.
Work Experience
- Extensive experience (7-10 yrs) in finance, accounting, or related roles, with a focus on process improvement and transformation.
- Proven experience in leading OneStream month-end close automation initiatives.
- Strong experience in process mining technologies and in-house analytics implementation in the accounting area.
