Role Summary

Magna's Financial Reporting Systems department is responsible for the management and support of the Hyperion suite of applications used by Magna's global finance users to prepare and present consolidated financial information for both internal and external users. This position is primarily responsible for the management and support of Magna's Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the HFM suite of applications, including updating application metadata and rules as required
  • Work with the finance management team to design, develop and implement enhancements to HFM functionality
  • Focus on process controls and data integrity throughout all tasks
  • Primary contact with external consultants on application build/upgrade activities
  • Provide technical and functional support to all end users
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve the effectiveness of departmental policies and procedures
  • Coordinate department communication and training to all end users
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years work experience in a financial analyst or systems analyst role, preferably as a financial systems administrator
  • Completion of a university degree: Accounting, Finance, or MIS
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle’s Financial Management applications (HFM, FDMEE, DRM, Essbase) is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, text editors, VBScript
  • Understanding of database environments (Oracle) with the ability to read, write and execute complex SQL statements is an asset
