Role Summary

This role supports the corresponding team lead in all activities of the IT Engineering Services department and ensure active participation in the daily business of her/his functional responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of IT Engineering Service Systems including, but not limited, to hardware, software and user support
  • Focus on systems and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, as well as documentation
  • The role requires creativity, innovation, and high motivation
  • Must be prepared to work in an extremely collaborative and dynamic environment
  • Manages and coordinates the deployment, and expansion of Client Server technologies, monitoring, and refinement, researching solutions to existing problems
  • Provide on-site support to users in determined engineering offices
  • Prioritize tasks and work independently, yet interacts well within a solution-oriented team environment
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
  • Documentation of current and future configuration processes and policies
  • Troubleshoot problems with hardware, software, network, and security administration
  • Provide a common, global environment for engineering workstation delivery and support
  • Experience with Enterprise ticket management systems for problem resolution and evidence capture

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Ideally experience with IT engineering products and software
  • Experience CAD environments [UG (NX), CATIA, Pro-E, PDM Systems]
  • Expert use of monitoring and troubleshooting utilities to effectively diagnose problems
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills in complex contexts
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Technical certifications: Microsoft Windows / Linux server administration experience required. Expertise in system installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, monitoring, and security procedures
  • Application Knowledge: Citrix / VMware / IIS and database (MS SQL, MySQL) server expertise including installation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, monitoring, and security procedures
  • Cloud experience recommended
  • Thin / Zero client management
  • Understanding of Network hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting
  • Software license monitoring and compliance reporting
  • Creates and maintains user and system documentation
  • Profound English communication skills

Knowledge, Education and Work Experience

  • Completed professional education within IT sector, degree from a recognized IT program or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of IT experience with hardware and software installation and maintenance in a multi-domain, multi-site network environment preferably automotive IT engineering support
