Role Summary

Summary of Responsibilities

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk under direct supervision of the Materials Supervisor, this position will be responsible for packing, unpacking, identification and transportation of incoming and out coming product.    

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks as required.
  • Drive Fork truck as required.
  • Change propane tanks as required.
  • Chock wheels of trucks.
  • Arrange trucks according to pick up time and delivery 
  • Quantity checks/items check
  • Inspect/Accept parts per work instruction / process book / procedures
  • Measure weight of materials received.
  • Manual counting
  • Order picking to prepare shipment
  • Incoming: Place Shipment in inspection area: Remove inspected materials.
  • Outgoing: Remove inspected materials, label appropriately, pace ready for shipment
  • Record and notify Material Controller of any discrepancies
  • Provide Quality Control department with copy of packing slip.
  • Enter receiving into CMS.
  • CMS tagging procedures
  • Scanning procedures
  • FIFO - First In/First Out
  • Shipping document control and other procedures.
  • Recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and working environment.
  • Aware of Safety, Health & Environmental policies.
  • Know and understand CCMi Quality policy.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • Work Saturday overtime as required by customer demands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Able to calculate figures and amounts, such as rate, ratio, percentages and proportions
  • Able to calculate capacity and efficiency
  • Able to use computer and software as required
  • Able to apply synchronous manufacturing and continuous improvement principles and methods
  • Able to work flexible and additional hours as required to support all shifts
  • Able to travel
  • Must be able to understand written instructions
  • Education, Skills and Experience
  • Forklift driving experience.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Ability to understand and follow routine, oral and written instructions precisely.
  • Basic math skills
  • EAP experience is a plus

Additional Information

Work Environment

  • Office and manufacturing plant floor, characterized by temperature extremes, loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic 
  • The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with team members, leadership, customers and suppliers. 
  • Must be able to attend planning and training meetings as required
