 KAMTEK is a premier Tier 1, automotive manufacturing supplier that specializes in Class “A” Stamping, Assembly and High Pressure Die Casting that produces Body-side and Door Openings, Roofs, Floor Pans, Wheelhouses, Large Welded Assemblies, Doors, Fenders, Hoods, Lift-gates, Aluminum Shock Towers, and Aluminum Rear Rails. Role Summary

To deliver cost effective storage and logistics solutions for all processes within Kamtek, which meets all customer quality and timing requirements. Responsible for evaluating, documenting and improving all storage and movement needs for Kamtek and meet all OSHA related safety requirement. Ensure logistics uses the most effective means of storage and transport with due consideration being given to ergonomics, material flow and lean build philosophies.

Key Responsibilities

3) Ensure timely delivery which meets program milestones utilizing program management

4) Communicate all changes throughout the supply chain that affect the layout, storage or transportation of parts

5) Ensure that the layout and value stream maps remain updated to the latest rates, BoM levels

6) Understand and communicate all customer requirements related to volume and transportation changes – work with the customer to help them understand Kamtek needs and operational requirements

7) Utilize good working knowledge of all technologies used in the handling and storage of materials (storage racks, FIFO lanes, flow racks, forklifts, tuggers, etc.)

8) Ensure effective deployment of all available resources to effectively perform logistics tasks (manpower, equipment needs, trucking and shunting requirements, etc.)

9) Regular and Frequent Time studies and BoM audits to ensure the accuracy and validity of the product consumption, timing and value stream maps

10) Develop and implement innovative solutions to logistics issues related to storage, flow and create standardized work for each

11) Execute manpower efficiency studies, through time and motion studies, or standard data to ensure effective line balancing of both manpower and machine

12) Assist in developing material handling logistics, including aisle layout and bin placement

13) Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing

Key Qualifications/Requirements

-Must have a solid, working knowledge of CAD

-Must have excellent mathematical, organizational, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written)

-Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment

-Ability to develop good working relationships with customers and suppliers

-Ability to meet tight deadlines

-Ability to handle multiple demands

-Willingness to travel

-Ability to work extended or flexible hours as required

-Must have good program management and leadership skills

-Must be willing to work extended or flexible hours as needed to meet customer requirements

Additional Information

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required, •B.S. degree in Engineering (preferred), or equivalent experience

TECHNICAL TRAINING: AutoCAD and CAD viewer programs
