Group Description

Vehtek Systems (a division of Magna International) is located in Bowling Green, Ohio. Vehtek is a Class A automotive stamping and assembly facility manufacturing automotive body system components for GM, Ford, FCA, Honda and other aftermarket customers. We operate a 500,000 square foot facility with approximately 1,000 employees. Role Summary

This position responsibility is specific to ensuring that the engineered process and equipment is aligned to the production requirements ensuring the least amount of machine downtime is achieved targeting an OA of 95%. The responsible candidate needs to champion; The Hot Stamp Process programming to achieve customer requirements and the oversight of preventative maintenance of the equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update, modify, and continuously improve existing hot stamping processing systems.
  • Optimize the purchase, maintenance of spare parts.
  • Program & optimize robotic systems on the Hot Stamp Process
  • Program, optimize, & monitor all functionalities of the furnace process/hot stamp press process
  • Train Technicians and Maintenance Personnel on how to properly operate and troubleshoot the hot stamping processes.
  • Eliminate quality spills from hot stamp processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, follow up and implement APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) activities for assigned programs.
  • Apply and comply with AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) & Vehtek standards & procedures.
  • Establish and maintain budgets for assigned programs.
  • Provide customer interface for assigned programs.
  • Provide Program Engineering support for duration of program.
  • Complete SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts as needed.
  • Follows & adheres to requirements of IATF 16949 & ISO14001 as required

  • Required to have a degree in an associated discipline of engineering
