Key Responsibilities

•    Lead Design Studies or any other studies required for project 
•    Checking of die designs
•    Handle complete vehicle Programs
•    Oversea any assembly processes when we are working with MAS as the assembly integrator. Understand the assembly processes, Hemmer Basics / Slow build Process / pre hem models Snap studies, station by station studies, assembly data reports
•    Development of Jr Project or Program Managers. Aid Department Manager in his / Her Absence
•    Represent Massiv Die Form and our Tooling Groups in a professional Manner at all times
•    Use Training Matrix for this position to learning job duties required and track your training development
•    Ensure a good relationships are kept with the customer at all times, and understand the customer requirements
•    Assist in successful launch and execution of multiple tooling programs simultaneously – timing, quality, cost
•    Manage the customers’ expectations through foresight and suggestions
•    Communicate with and manage suppliers outsourced work by Massiv Die Form. Manage conflict, multi-tasking, prioritize deadlines
•    Ensuring that the delivery of all Products is to the appropriate levels of quality, engineering level, on time and within budget, in accordance with the program Master Time Line.
•    Ensure that all program Milestones and Key Dates is communicated well in advance to all internal groups.
•    Manage and follow, in place systems, support and follow procedures at all time.
•     “Cradle to Grave” program support is expected including Home Line commissioning continuous and effective communication with Customer is expected, in an effort to ensure Press Time is scheduled efficiently to support Program Master Time Line.
•    Ensure open and effective communications to Cross Function Team members, own or other departments either written, verbal, or visual (CFT boards) for all assigned projects 
•    Responsible to perform other reasonable duties as required or requested
•    Following the Dimensional Execution Process
•    Use outlook Calendar properly for booking meetings and boardrooms
•    Ranking Vendors with the Vendor Score Cards
•    Deeply involved with the FEA springback Studies
•    Ensure that information is correlated between actual try out and upfront Engineering
•    Updates to the PM trackers and other KPIs
•    Understanding and participating in GD& T reviews for Stamping and Assembly
•    Knowledgeable for all die trout activities
•    Purchasing, Machining CAD and Tooling teams to find resolutions to critical issues
•    Finance team in reporting monthly cost estimations per program until completion
•    Sales in quoting Engineering Changes, new Programs initiatives, Die construction sourcing 
•    Overseas Construction Sources
•    Home line Commissioning team, Launch team, Secondary try out team members
•    Quality Department and Fixture build process
•    Outsource FEA & Design Companies

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    Post-secondary training in Tool & Die or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2 years relevant work experience in Stamping Die Industry.  
•    Finance basics – RFQ, Quotation, Requisition, LOI, PO, Invoice Milestones, VAVE, Basic Financial reports, understand cost impacts at a business level.
•    Basic CATIA, SPINFIRE, SMIRT, UniGraphics, CAD – able to use and understand.
•    Use of WEBEX, Conference Calling, SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project.
•    FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, GD&T, knowledgeable in any other customer specific buy-off requirements. 
•    FLD & Simulation Knowledge.
•    GD&T, CMM/white light dimensional report interpretation.
•    Quotation, Customer Focus, Design Planning Procedures (QOS), or any other ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 training as prescribed through the QEMS (see matrixes).
•    Soft Skills – communication, organization, team work, punctuality, critical thinking, willing to learn.
•    Comfortable giving technical presentations or hosting meetings/conferences.
•    Interest in Continuous Improvement Suggestion Program.
•    All prescribed Health & Safety Training as outlined in the HR Training Matrix, WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher.

Additional Information

•    Day shift, office environment.
•    Overtime may be required at times.
•    Interaction on shop floor with respective cross functional team members.
•    Local and/or international overnight travel may be required for extended periods of time
•    Working with colleagues in China, Europe and Mexico using foreign language and different time zones
