Key Responsibilities

•    Maintain “First in, First out” (FIFO) material handling principles
•    Ensure all damaged containers/racks are reported to the Team Leader/Area Leader
•    Work as a team with other Tugger and Fork Lift Operators to ensure the most efficient material flow
•    Working knowledge and understanding of each work area in support of cross training
•    Complete daily tugger inspection and fill out safety check sheet prior to start of each shift
•    Supply parts, components and packaging to appropriate manufacturing areas (Assembly, Moulding, etc) as required
•    Communicate work in process and finished goods racks required to loader 
•    Remove finished product from work cells and transport it to the tugger pick-up / unloading area
•    Ensure a consistent flow of process to avoid a slowdown of production operation
•    Empty racks and tote labels before taking to work cell
•    Participate in rotation schedule to facilitate cross training in each area supported by department
•    Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace 
•    Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior 
•    Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF- 16949 standards 
•    Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook
•    Comply with the requirements of C-TPAT/PIP
•    Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
•    Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives 
•    Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards 
•    Ensure work area is kept neat and organized 
•    Perform other duties as required 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma
•    Valid Ontario G-level driver’s license
•    Experience in automotive manufacturing industry an asset
•    Must have complete knowledge of all programs handled (part numbers, colors, etc.) and containers used for each part
•    Good verbal and written communication skills 
•    Computer literate in word & spreadsheet programs
•    Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems
•    Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job (examples: push and pull tugger carts, standing while operating tugger)
