Role Summary

To operate within your area to ensure smooth running of production.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Main duties:

  • Adhere to health and safety aspects for the assembly team.
  • Comply with Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental & Health & Safety standards in line with current certification.
  • Comply with Risk Assessments within area of responsibility.
  • Comply with the Lock out Tag out Procedure (where applicable).
  • Comply with the Safe System of Work documents.
  • Maintain good 5S discipline.
  • Take appropriate actions in emergency situations.
  • Wear appropriate PPE.
  • To ensure all team members wear appropriate PPE.
  • Do not use damaged packaging and containers that are not fit for purpose

Quality:

  • Adhere to standardised working procedures.
  • Processing of parts to the required quality standards.
  • Participate in quality checks and controls.
  • Adhere to quality care points.
  • Take parts in stock sorts.
  • Report repeat quality issues.

Timing

  • Ensure cycle times and production targets are maintained.
  • Report any issues or concerns to your line manager.
  • Participate in equipment audits.
  • Support inventory controls and cycle counts.
  • Provide break cover.
  • Escalate faulty equipment.
  • Carry out TPM checks.
  • Train and support work colleagues (i.e. buddy system)
  • Cost:

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, quality, processes and cost down opportunities.
  • Participate in the companies CIP scheme.
  • Use consumables responsibly.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to work using their own initiative,  and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the company.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to identify different colours of products (i.e. Ishihara)
