About the Role

The IT Manager- Product Development Platforms is globally responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of global engineering platforms (PLM, CAD and CAE) for Magna Electronics. The role will lead a global team responsible for managing above mentioned platforms. The role will play a key role in leading the integration of an acquired business in the area of PLM, CAD & CAE. As an IT Manager, this person is expected to handle the responsibilities in accordance with Magna operational principles, employee charter, and code of conduct to ensure smooth and efficient execution of goals and objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Accountable for managing & overseeing delivery of global engineering platforms -PLM, CAD & CAE
  • Lead, enable, and develop a global team (disciplinary leadership) for the above-mentioned area.
  • Develop strategy & roadmap in alignment with business & IT vision, strategy & objectives.
  • Plan, initiate, co-ordinate, lead and oversee activities to execute defined strategy & roadmap.
  • Define & establish organizational structures for the responsible platforms scope (Governance, Roles & Responsibilities, Processes)
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness (Financial Management)
  • Forges and maintains relationships with both internal & external stakeholders.

Who we are looking for

 

Education

  • Master’s degree with a major in engineering or Information technology (Preferred)


Work Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience working in PLM & CAD area
  • Minimum of 2 years in leading global teams (Team Management)
  • Working experience in M&A’s (Preferred) 

Your preferred qualifications

 

Skills/Knowledge

  • Advanced knowledge in managing/implementing PLM platforms such as PTC Windchill or 3DS Enovia.
  • Advanced knowledge in operating global engineering platforms (Standard IT support, operations & maintenance)
  • Advanced knowledge of PLM/CAD related business processes
  • Working knowledge in Project Management
  • Team Management


Personal Skills

  • Pragmatic, self-starter with strong analytical skills to identify core issues. Strong problem-solving ability to come up with practical solutions that work for the business.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to build solid relationships and to influence across a diverse group of businesspeople with a wide array of professional backgrounds, including executive management.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to coordinate and complete multiple tasks within and across departments to meet established and changing deadlines.
  • Fluent in business English
