About the Role
Magna is looking for experienced scrum master who can collaborate with stakeholders to develop scalable smart solutions driving and developing agile methodologies. As a scrum master you will be facilitating and coaching the team in adopting and implementing the Scrum framework, also ensuring the team delivers high-quality software on time and within budget.
Your Responsibilities
- Facilitate and guide the Scrum team through all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Own and maintain the Scrum Team Backlog (planning & prioritizing).
- Responsible for the internal stakeholder & customer communication for the assigned scrum team/product.
- Coach and mentor, the development team on Agile principles and practices.
- Remove impediments that hinder the team's progress and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Foster collaboration and communication within the team and across departments (Product, Development, Operations).
- Manage the Scrum backlog and ensure it is well-refined and prioritized.
- Track team progress and metrics, and report on project health and velocity.
- Champion the adoption of Agile practices within the organization.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for the Scrum process.
- Plan and coordinate software development activities with other global sites and communicate vision, progress, product roadmap and release plan.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in Agile project management.
- Act with honesty and integrity and make ethical business choices in accordance with Magna’s Compliance Policies and Procedures
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, computer science, software, or related field of study)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an Agile environment for a product successfully industrialized.
- Strong understanding of the Scrum framework and its principles.
- Minimum of a PSM-1 Certification is required (PSM-2 is bonus)
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in resolving team conflicts and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Experience with Agile project management tools like Jira is preferred.
- Experience in automotive industry is a plus.
