About the Role

• Development (design, implement, test and debug) of core and/or application specific software 
requirements for automotive embedded electronic module serial production projects
• Develop software in compliance with a formal ASPICE/CMMi based Global Product 
Engineering Process (GPEP).
• Verify software requirements at component and bench level
• Aware of white and black box testing - Perform unit test using VectorCast
• Support rest of the functional disciplines with all aspects related to software.
• Perform work assignments as a highly competent software engineer, requiring independent 
design, implementation and testing of the software components.
• Work assignments primarily involve intermediate through advanced level work, moving toward 
complete technical competency and mastery of the field.
• Develops based on standard guidelines and safety aspects
• Maintains regular attendance.
• Aware of static check analysis

Your Responsibilities

• End-to-end SW release based on each project milestones/releases 
• Release SW version control 
• Perform necessary resource management for smooth project execution

Who we are looking for

Work Experience
• 8+ years handson experience in Automotive embedded SW development
• Working knowledge in structured engineering approach
• Working knowledge in development of portable, reusable and modular software in 
automotive environment
• Experience in using a disciplined software development process based on ASPICE or 
CMMi process model.
• Working knowledge of configuration management (preferably PTC/Github), project 
monitoring and control techniques
• Troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Knowledge of structured problem solving (8D) methods and/or techniques

Skills and Competencies • Knowledge of MS Office package • Knowledge of AUTOSAR and Application Layer JOB DESCRIPTION Magna Global IT • Knowledge of analysis and engineering tools such as version control/configuration management, UML tools, static code check tools • Working knowledge of CAN/Ethernet/LIN based tools such as CANalyxer, CANoe and CANape • Experience in Enterprise Architect and code generation by LieberLieber Embedded Engineer • Experience in using VectorCast for unit testing • Experience in using Github • Experience in using Lauterbach and/or isystem debuggers • Advanced skills / understanding: o Autosar / Tresos / GIT / Ethernet (PDU + SOME-IPs) / CAN / SPI o BAP of VW-Group (Preferred) o CANOE o ISystems-Debugger o PTC Integrity o ASPICE SWE Standard and Base practices (Minimum Level 1, Level 2 preferred) • Expert knowledge: o C / C++ / Embedded SW o Detailed Design and requirements documentatio

Your preferred qualifications

Knowledge and Education
• Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field
• Involvement in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++ for 16 bit and 32 bit microcontrollers including application for micro-controllers such as Freescale, PPC, ARM 
core, TI DSP, Microchip, Infineon and Renasas
• Experience in developing Application Software components and ARXMLs in 
AUTOSAR based projects
• Knowledge in code optimization for specific targets and compilers
