About the Role
The System Architect collaborates with all involved Stakeholders to create and maintain Functional, Logical and Physical Architectures in a clear, unambiguous, and understandable way to ensure that a complete system architecture design is defined.
Your Responsibilities
JOB FUNCTIONS (ESSENTIAL)
• System Architecture Management and Quality
• Supports development of the system architecture GPEP related processes
• Supports, understands and implements the System Architecture Line strategy for development of systems architectures in accordance with policies, procedures and operational guidelines related to Magna (GPEP) and established quality management systems (IATF 16949, ASPICE, ISO26262 FuSa, ISO 21434 Cyber Security, ISO 15288 Systems and Software Engineering – System Lifecycle Processes)
• Supports the System Architecture Lead in writing and maintaining a System Architecture Management Plan for the project based on the System Architecture Line strategy
• Reports, and supports the implementation of, “Lessons Learned”
• Supports in establishing System Architecture related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as quality targets
• Supports the Lead System Architect in all matters relating to system architecture activities (including planning and progress tracking)
• Promotes and defends the System Architecture Line strategy within the project(s)
• Analysis of Requirements and Existing Solutions
• Supports with the analysis of customer specific/Magna system and core team requirements with the purpose of defining System Architecture(s) (including alternatives) for the System of Interest (SoI) which satisfies those requirements
• Collaborates with the Core and other project System Architecture teams to ensure cost effective re-use of existing solutions
• Inherits, understands, uses, suggests modifications, and supports the core architecture
• Supports reviews of proposed system architecture solutions against the architecture criteria agreed with the project management
• System Architecture Development
• Collaboration with the System Lead and System Requirements discipline to define system requirements/architecture structures
• Collaboration with Core Architects and Domain disciplines to ensure coherent architecture designs
• System Architectural Design
Who we are looking for
Education/Experience –Level 1
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent (Master’s preferred)
• 7+ years’ relevant experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed above) for automotive electronics serial development projects (mandatory).
