Role Summary

Position involves the set up and trouble shooting of CNC machines and all the related secondary production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.  This person is also responsible for the quality of the product being produced within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Must have the ability to review lay out data and read various forms of gages in order to validate the parts are being produced to customer requirements
  • Must have a back ground in CNC equipment in order to make corrections as needed
  • All work will be performed with safety in mind for yourself, coworkers and equipment at all times
  • To work within guidelines of the company rules and guidelines to comply with MIOSHA standards
  • Ability to trouble shoot the production cells  if down time would occur
  • At times this person may be asked to run the equipment in a production setting
  • Tooling and fixture changes will be required
  • Will be part of the team that is responsible to meet or exceed production targets
  • To always be looking at ways to improve processes to increase productivity in a controlled setting.  Kaizan and CI teams will be a big part of our improvements
  • To maintain the equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner
  • All quality checks must be completed actually and in a timely manner. 
  • The ability to read layout data, gages and dedicated measuring equipment is needed
  • To have clear and open communications with peers and supervision in an efficient and courteous way
  • Perform all PM’s to the equipment as assigned 
  • Documentation must be filled out in a legible and timely manner
  • Will assist all departments as needed
  • Training of team members will be a big part of the job

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Past experience in operation of machining and assembly equipment is a plus
  • CNC’s
  • Siemon’s controls
  • Fanuc robots
  • Basic electrical skills
  • Basic hydraulics’
  • The ability to read Siemons operator panels to run equipment and trouble shoot as needed.
  • Past experience in automotive production environment is beneficial 
  • Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relations
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime to be available to three (3) shifts
  • Able to work to blueprints would be beneficial
  • Able to use standard hand and measuring tools


Education and Experience


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Work Environment


The work environment is primarily manufacturing plant and is characterized by temperature extremes; loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic.  The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with Team Members, management, customers and suppliers.
Able to work flexible hours and overtime
