Division Description

Cosma Castings Michigan (CCMI)- a division of Magna International- is located in Battle Creek, Michigan. We are a casting and assembly facility that manufactures automotive body components for GM, Ford, FCA, Honda, and other aftermarket customers. We operate a 300,000-square-foot facility with approximately 500 employees. Summary of Responsibilities

The CNC Engineering Manager manages the engineering department by supervising the activities of assigned personnel and ensuring the successful completion of all awarded programs, engineering changes, and engineering projects. This position administers the company's APQP program, controls the tooling program per defined budgets, leads the ergonomic team, aids with designing safe and efficient workstations, and achieves their assigned key performance indicators. This position works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on safety and quality. Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office 
  • Five years or more experience within the automotive field
  • Five years or more experience in managing people and processes 
  • Five years or more experience within CNC machining 
  • Demonstrated experience GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, Fanuc Robots and PLC Design
  • You must pass a urine drug screen, background check, and physical capability examination.
