Role Summary

To support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor.


Key Responsibilities

• Attain safety, quality and productivity goals
• Troubleshoot plant facilities and production equipment problems
• Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files in orderly fashion
• Obtain training for professional development and to stay current on maintenance and safety requirements
• Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations
• Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software
• Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory
• Attend training as required
• Handle confidential information on a regular basis
• Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example
• Promote and facilitate Open Door process and Fair Treatment
• Participate in Continual Improvement activities
• Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Able to work flexible hours and overtime to be available to three (3) shifts
• Able to use computer and software as required
• Able to work to blueprints and sketches
• Must have good color vision to perform maintenance and repairs
• Able to lift 75 pounds
• Able to work at heights of 40 to 60 feet and in confined spaces
• Demonstrated ability to read mechanical and hydraulic prints
• Must be able to understand written instructions
• Technical training is preferred in the following areas:
     o Hydraulic/pneumatic/ mechanical system maintenance and repair
     o Welding and fabrication
     o Machine tool operation, maintenance and repair
     o Automotive, forklift, work platforms operation


Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
• Forklift License required
• Minimum (2) years industrial maintenance experience
• MUST pass level II entry test administered by Maintenance Department
