IT Sr. System Administrator

About the Role

As IT Sr. System Administrator, you will perform more complex computer system installations and configurations- including setting up user accounts and providing administration and maintenance. In addition, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting to your internal customers. You will also perform some programming and may be responsible for script writing.

Your Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity
- Manage user accounts and permissions
- Implement security measures to protect the organization's data and systems
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement system upgrades and enhancements
- Provide technical support to end-users
- Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures

Who we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and shell scripting
- Experience with DHCP, DNS, and other network protocols
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
- Ability to design and implement system architecture
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
