Job Introduction

Magna is seeking a Senior Analyst, IT Vendor Management to work in Magna IT’s Vendor Management department. The Sr. Analyst will be part of a global team that has presence in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the IT Professional Services transformation project, focusing on contract governance and supplier transformation processes. The Sr. Analyst will also be responsible for negotiating and managing various regional and global IT contracts and will represent Magna IT’s Vendor Management team in the region when working with internal customers and global partners. The job holder, will support, on a global basis, Magna IT, Magna Corporate, Group, and Divisional locations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the Vendor Management procurement lifecycle process
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs
  • Conduct regular vendor reviews and audits to assess performance and address any issues
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles, best practices and run RFx requests
  • Demonstrate proven experience in vendor performance and relationship management
  • Perform Supplier Management and Governance specifically in IT Professional Services

Skills and Competencies

  • Potential candidates for this position are IT Vendor Management/Procurement subject matter experts
  • Proven negotiation skills in managing large complex contracts in the various IT categories, including hardware, software, services, and communication with primary focus on IT Professional Services
  • Previous experience with software licensing/contracts/framework agreements and volume purchasing
  • Effective problem-solving skills for supplier related issues
  • High attention to detail in contract and performance monitoring
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building positive supplier relationships and stakeholder management
  • Excellent negotiation skills and trainings
  • People leadership and influence skills
  • Business English ability (written & verbal) is required
  • German language skills (written & verbal) is an asset
  • Project Management skills in larger transformation projects
  • Microsoft Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Teams, Outlook)
  • Executive Communication skills
  • Expert Business Acumen and Financial Analysis

Knowledge, Education and Work Experience

  • 5-7 years of work experience in the field of IT Vendor Management, Procurement, Professional Services would be preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree is typically required, in the absence of equivalent work experience.  Degrees in analytical field are preferred, such as business, economics, psychology, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or finance.
  • A supply Chain Degree or Certification is an asset.

Work Environment

Regular travel 10-15% of the time. Travel activities, if needed, are generally more local trips to visit either internal customers and colleagues or to meet with vendors.
