Role Summary

Support all activity associated with the Launch coordination of assigned projects and engineering changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Manager’s support during pre-launch and launch phases and engineering changes, focusing on:
  • Maintain customer timing and submission database;
  • Manage engineering inventories;
  • Schedule, coordinate and support trials prior to launch phase;
  • Coordinate and/or initiate trial documentation flow;
  • Document trials for R&D tax credit purposes and submit to accounting;
  • Maintain Program Summaries spreadsheet (pre-production requirements);
  • Maintain trial material inventory;
  • Track and update Engineering Change system to ensure completion of tasks prior to implementation;
  • Report Eng Change task status to Program Manager on a regular basis;
  • Launch / Eng Change Activities;
  • Maintain inventory on all components at the launch phase and coordinate inventory hand-off at agreed upon date;
  • Schedule, coordinate and support trials at the launch phase;
  • Coordinate and support launch builds (staffing, cell availability, quality, labeling etc.);
  • Packaging;
  • Work with Program Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, Purchasing and Quality Engineers developing external and internal packaging;
  • Outside Trials;
  • Coordinate shipping of Materials & packaging to and from outside shops.


Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent education required;
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment particularly in leadership roles in assembly, coating or moulding required;
  • Other experience in support of operations such as materials, Quality Systems management, Laboratory management or technician, etc is an asset;
  • Proven track record in performance and attendance in current position required;


  • Possess or Develop a strong understanding of: Core Tools (APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA & PPAP), Control Plans/Process Flows, Root Cause Analysis/Practical Problem Solving;
  • Microsoft computer application experience – including Word, Excel and Project;
  • Knowledge of T4M systems;
  • Willingness and ability to take on tasks outside of responsibility set when required;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Able to communicate with other members of our operations sufficiently both verbally and written;
  • Self-motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion;
  • Strong organization skills;
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft office; including Word and Excel;
  • Able to work independently and also as part of a team;
  • Able to work accurately with attention to detail.

  • Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor; 
  • Ability to work at a computer workstation;
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach;
  • Required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature;
  • Ability to lift max. 50lbs periodically.
