About the Role

The assistant controller is responsible for developing and compiling financial analysis across KAMTEK Business Unit Structure. The Assistant Controller will work closely with both the Senior Managers and Business Unit Managers to control costs and improve operational performance. The Assistant Controller- Operations will take the lead on developing and reporting KPI’s both weekly and monthly. Drive common financial reporting across all Business Units and help champion continuous improvement. Reports to the Division Controller and works closely with the Senior Leadership team, Business Development, Program Management, Sales, Engineering, and other support groups. 

Your Responsibilities

  1. Utilize and Develop reporting and modeling tools that focus on daily, weekly, and monthly spending for all Business units.
  2. Financial partner with BU Managers and teams.
  3. Participate in development of annual five-year plans and quarterly forecast across all Business Units
  4. Support ongoing CBA’s (Quote Document Analysis) with requested cost information for both Business Development and Program Management.
  5. Assist in the standard cost development primarily for labor and overhead.
  6. Help champion continuous improvement with action plans with the BU’s and other departments
  7. Assists in the management of fixed asset reporting in the BU’s
  8. Support Program Management and Engineering in completing financial analysis for various manufacturing investment scenarios, including comparison between different machines, equipment, and processing.
  9. Works with division personnel and Cost Analyst to spot-check cost accuracy of BOM’s and routings. Member of the BOM Audit team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with program management, sales, engineering, plant executives, and finance professionals.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize conflicting demands with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Individual should be extremely well organized, results driven, with the ability to handle diverse assignments concurrently.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Mainframe ERP systems such as SAP, QAD, CMS or other applications.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to perform essential duties.

Your preferred qualifications

Education

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

-Experience with integrated financial/manufacturing software packages.

-Experience with Microsoft Word, outlook, and advanced Excel skills required. 

Work Experience

-Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 3 - 5 years.
