Group Summary

 

Vehtek Systems (a division of Magna International) is located in Bowling Green, Ohio. Vehtek is a Class A automotive stamping and assembly facility manufacturing automotive body system components for GM, Ford, FCA, Honda and other aftermarket customers. We operate a 500,000 square foot facility with approximately 850 employees. About the Role

As the Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will provide maintenance support to all other departments to ensure customer schedules and projects are completely timely, assist the manager with operations responsibilities, and provide direct supervision to the Maintenance Supervisors. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for all 3 shifts of maintenance activities & personnel.
  • Maintain effective department communications through a prioritized work list and daily shift meetings AND facilitate cross functional work teams by rotating team members through all areas of the plant.
  • Oversee and report on status of departmental projects, conduct performance evaluations, and update preventive maintenance and work orders as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Who we are looking for

  • 2 or 4 year Engineering or related degree required, journeyman status with considerable experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of departmental processes and procedures to include (but not limited to) Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Automated Welding Processes, Schematics and Blueprint Reading, Failure Analysis Methods, etc.

  • Able to work well with others, build and maintain positive team member relations, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to use computer software as required.
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed & manage/schedule multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
