About the Role

We are seeking an individual for the position of Quality Engineering Intern. Engineering Co-op will be provided opportunities across multiple programs over the course of their schedule.

Your Responsibilities

  • Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.
  • Follows and supports and Magna’s operating principles.
  • Support implementation of new program documentation.  Process Flows, PFMEA’s, Control Plans and line documentation.
  • Working with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Operators on projects related to line readiness for program launch.
  • Perform MSA studies on check fixtures and measurement equipment.
  • Provide Training to Operators on WS program documentation.
  • Support Implementation of Inspection Roadmaps and Data Tracking as needed.
  • Support PPAP Data Collection and Format to Meet Customer Requirements
  • The student work will focus on the needs of the project and will involve product/process design, problem solving, interaction with various disciplines, report development and customer documentation.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Who we are looking for

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Post-secondary education preferred, or related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Sophomore or later in engineering or technical curriculum
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Team members will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.
