To assume a role as a DevOps Engineer responsible to design, implement, and maintain mission-critical system(s) necessary to collect, interact, and report data bi-directionally with shop floor systems and automation equipment for the purpose of inventory control, traceability, and KPI measurements.

  1. Preferred knowledge with:
    1. Custom MES applications built with Inductive Automation - Ignition
    2. VB.NET custom applications
    3. Integrating data collection system(s) with an ERP system
    4. MES and SCADA systems
  2. Software Development experience with:
    1. VB.NET, Python, PowerShell, SAP BAPIs, MSSQL, ZPL, Azure
    2. MES systems (Python, PowerShell, MSSQL, Azure)
    3. Zebra Printer Language (ZPL) label applications
    4. Inventory/production reporting applications (VB.NET, Python)
  3. Coordinate PLC logic for data collection and verify accuracy of data from PLC devices

Key Qualifications/Requirements

These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Team members will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.


Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Information systems, or related experience
  • Experience with VB.NET, Python, PowerShell, SAP BAPIs, ZPL, SQL, Azure or AWS
  • Experience working with MES and SCADA systems is preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in VB.NET development and SQL database integration expertise
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with Departments outside of IT during project design and troubleshooting

  • Able to be flexible in hours of work on short notice in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)

  • Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, and occasional bending and stooping.
