Production Supervisor

Role Summary

Supervises the activities of production staff including temporary assignments.  Schedules staff, issues disciplinary action if required, conducts performance appraisals and other employee relations matters.  Reviews production levels to determine priority of production to ensure productivity targets are achieved.  Monitors actual performance against targets and initiates corrective action to correct negative variances. Maintains efficiency and quality standards on production lines.

Key Responsibilities

Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. . Maintains time and production records. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Planning, assigning, training and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, housekeeping and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with pervious supervisory experience .

Completed of Supervisory/Leadership Training.

First Aid and CPR training.
