Role Summary

Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through designated team members.

Key Responsibilities

To manage and direct activities required to complete specific project tasks within the requirements of the customer and LexaMar. To represent LexaMar at all project related functions or meetings.

Responsibilities

Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements. Works with APQP Team members to assure completion of all phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, all tooling, fixtures, product testing, sampling, PPAP, launch, etc. Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget, prepares and maintains Master Timing Chart.  Publishes meeting minutes, maintains project documentation and follows the Program/Project Management System.

Qualifications

Engineering degree and minimum of four years experience in program management in the automotive manafucturing field.
