Your New Role
The Materials Manager will ensure the appropriate supply of materials and service to support production to meet customer demand.
As a Materials Manager, You Will
- Leads, manages, and monitors inventory levels, on-time shipment of finished goods, warehousing/shipping of goods, and the procurement, receipt, and storage of raw materials. Has complete ownership of material movement and storage from start to finish.
- Establishes inventory objectives and assumes responsibility for inventory turns (stock rotation). Reviews, identifies, and minimizes obsolete inventory. Recommends disposition within established guidelines.
- Develops, manages, and maintains departmental plans, budgets, and master production schedule by utilizing input from sales forecast customer demand, material availability, capacity planning to ensure management goals and objectives are met. Provides input for production planning function.
- Responsible for material procurement and production schedule to ensure cost efficiency and timely customer shipments.
- Responsible for providing support that allows for an atmosphere that ensures compliance with Deco’s quality and safety policies and procedures.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Five Years experience as Material Manager in a just in time manufacturing, automotive industry preferred.
- Three years of experience leading a team
- Post Secondary degree in Supply Chain or Material Planning
- Working Knowledge of Enterprise Resource planning (Epicore CMS).
- APICS certification preferred.
