Role Summary

 

 

This position is for Massiv Die-Form, a division of Cosma International.

Key Responsibilities

 

 

•    Fixture Incoming/Outgoing inspection and report.
•    First off, Last off on Shop floor and report as required. 
•    Mark up the panels/Cosmetics review and report.
•    Prepare the circle grid material and inspect the circle grid panel if needed.
•    Thinning check and report.
•    Perform the hardness test on the products.
•    Complete tasks and assignments within Lead Hand/Supervisor.
•    Identify and record any problems and concerns relating to the product, process and quality system.
•    Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality system.
•    Carry out quality inspection on Products to ensure that specific quality assurance standards are met, which includes cosmetics, functional, dimensional checks and decision making.
•    GP12 and parts packaging to support shipment.
•    File, grind, sand, drill, weld, etc. in order to ensure that products are to the customer's standards.
•    Complete all required paperwork accurately and in timely manner.
•    Ensure all priorities are maintained to satisfy customer daily requirements.
•    Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels (i.e. leadhands).
•    Maintain records of time spent and prepare all necessary reports.
•    Maintenance of working area incl. housekeeping.
•    Operate forklift if required.
•    Be at the work area on time at the start of the shift and after breaks.
•    Notify supervisor if late or absent two (2) hours prior to shift start.
•    Report to work area on time at shift start and after breaks. Any special requests (e.g. leaving early) must be cleared with supervisor/lead hand.
•    All injuries must be reported to supervisor/lead hand/first aider immediately. 
•    Separate and/or break down scrap materials / waste products and place in appropriate hoppers (ie. cardboard, skids, blanks, steel shavings, other non-recycle, etc).
•    Dump hoppers into designated recycle/waste bins and ensure that overloading does not occur.
•    Ensure the contents of bins are as designated (ie. wood in wood bin, etc) and ensure that overloading does not occur by emptying them regularly.
•    Washing/cleaning of dies, floors, presses, work benches or other tooling equipment as required.
•    Maintain cleanliness of press areas including oil clean up, sweeping up steel or other misc. debris .
•    May be required to make pick ups or deliveries using company truck for shipping/receiving.
•    Responsible for applicable QEMS policies, procedures and work instructions.
•    Perform other reasonable duties as required and assigned.
•    Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with the HS&E Agreement for Employees  - Addendum

 

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

 

•    Experience in metal finish Class A, Class B and class C surfaces an asset.
•    Experience in inspection and dimension of the product an asset.
•    Experience in Cosmetics review an asset.
•    Experience in circle grid an asset.
•    Tooling/machine shop experience an asset.
•    Knowledge of SPC and Drawing an asset.
•    Forklift experience an asset.
•    Good mathematical, organizational, communication and Computer skills required.
•    Ability to meet or exceed Massiv standards within the department.
•    Ability to maintain a positive contribution towards quality, customer satisfaction and company profitability.
•    Orientation, Forklift, QA Standard work, Die Setter Training, Emergency Procedures for Power Presses, Blueprint Reading, WHMIS, PQS, SPC, Safety Procedures, Lockout, Fire Extinguisher training, Outer Hi-Light  training, stoning Training, Metal Finishing training and Waste Disposal/Dumping Procedure, Driver’s License, 5S, CI Suggestion Program.
•    ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 training as prescribed by QEMS(see EMS training matrix)
