About the Role

Who we are looking for

•    High School Diploma or equivalent.
•    Machinist/Tool and Die pre-apprentice course or experience an asset.
•    Crane/Forklift experience an asset
•    Previous Tooling/Machine Shop experience an asset. 
•    Previous Stamping experience an asset
•    Previous Robotic Programming an asset
•    Ability to use hand tools, disk- and hand grinders.
•    Good communication skills, attendance and performance required. 
•    Driver’s license in good standing, transportation is not an issue.
 

Your Responsibilities

•    Maintain records i.e. Tryout reports, Static and Dynamic Buyoff lists etc.
•    Capable of loading dies into both mechanical and hydraulic presses.
•    Participate in all aspects of Tryout including FEA feedback, blank development, fixturing of parts, modifying oven settings, robot/press line setup and debugging.
•    Ability to analyse parts on checking fixture, and achieve First Off.
•    Ability to mark up spotting panels and cut with disc grinder. 
•    Ability to use hand grinders to blue spot in Hot Stamp dies.
•    Utilize blue prints and/or Smirt Die Design for correct detailing lay out and set up.
•    Utilize FEA reports and Tryout reports to setup die according to conditions.
•    Perform other reasonable duties as assigned. 
•    Responsible for applicable QEMS policies, QAS procedures, work instructions, and documentation including 5S audits and Equipment Safety Sheets.
•    Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with the HS&E Agreement for Employees – Addendum.
