Your New Role
Quality Engineering is required to work with all departments on the development of new products and maintain and improve current products in order to meet customer and IATF 16949 requirements.
What You will Need to Succeed
- Post-secondary graduate with a technical diploma or a certificate in Quality Engineering (CQE)
- Minimum of 5 years automotive experience
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process submissions, Geometric Dimensions & Tolerancing, Flow Diagrams, FMEA’s, Control Plans, Statistics, and fixture development based on part GD&T
As A Quality Engineer, You Will
- Works with Deco personnel on Advanced Product Quality Planning, and with cross-functional teams on the development of new and existing products to meet critical customer deadlines
- Maintain an open issues matrix for all assigned parts and programs,
- Coordinates customer quality events at Deco Automotive and ensures professional long term relationships are met and maintained
- Coordinates, prepares and implements new / current program fixtures / gauges builds including cost, design, timing and quality to meet customer and Deco standards
- Prepares and updates the Control Plan documentation and Control Cards based on customer and internal requirements
- Prepares, update, daily review DMR and initiate actions based on findings
- Review dimensional reports, performs statistical studies, reports data and facilitates problem solving activities based on dimensional findings
- Responsible and assists in IATF 16949/MAFACT implementation and compliance
- Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (IATF 16949/MAFACT, ISO 14001 etc)
- Ability to travel to USA, Mexico and overseas for business meetings/training
- Perform other duties as required
