About the Role

Your Responsibilities

•    Ensure projects are delivered timely and meet all Cosma standards, Customer specific standards and Customer requirements.
•    Communicate with Customers in a professional manner
•    Validate current projects through Quality Gates reviews and provide feedback to Vendors for corrective actions.
•    Perform preliminary spring-back studies to understand overall dimensional risk, measuring fixture concept and spring back compensation planning. Generate report with findings.
•    Analyze Sigma (Robustness) studies for performance and effect on each part.
•    Drive the Engineering review process to ensure the deliverables are met with quality, on time and hold the vendors accountable.
•    Perform functional die planning review for hard-touch, pad/post clearance for part nesting and other relevant details for successful release for 3D cut data
•    Support all Press activities for First Part to gauge Correlation
•    Train other departments with processes
•    Audit and report KPI’s or department measurable.
•    Participate in all Lessons Learned activities including hosting workshops.
•    Develop Best practice or standards for commodities.
•    Lead Correlation activates or initiatives for the improvement of Formability, Cosmetic and dimensional results.
•    Participating or leading any soft tool review
•    Preparing cost Savings opportunities in the Engineering phase
•    Root Cause all open Formability / Process issues 
•    Prepare preliminary Die process for Sales Department.
•    Support All internal Departments.
•    Travel required ( Minimal )
•    Preparing Engineering change request
•    Perform other reasonable duties as required.

Who we are looking for

•    Engineering Degree an Asset or 10 Years in Automotive Stamping with Class A closure panels
•    Understanding of 
o    sheet metal formability 
o    Material properties of Various Sheetmetal and impact on Forming
o    Die Processing
o    Die Designs
o    How to interpret GD & T and how it relates to processing / development / Springback compensation.
o    Structural Analysis of cast components
•    Expert knowledge of running stamping formability simulation using one or more of the following software: 
o     Autoform, ( Preferred )
o    PamStamp, 
o    LS Dyna
•    Strong CAD software knowledge 
o    Catia Preferred, 
o    NX is an asset 
•    Must be able to work unsunpervised
