Role Summary

Knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes, this position utilize the skills in improving the process of existing equipments by way of analyzing, upgrading or changing the tooling, fixtures, Robot programs and parameters, MIG welding sequence and schedules in order to achieve if not surpass the required production efficiency. In addition, this position coordinates with every program manager in making sure that every equipment built for P&F Tool and Die adheres to its “Machine Build Standard” in reference to mechanical, tooling, and Robot configurations, programming and setup.

Key Responsibilities

      Establish and maintain effective communications with maintenance supervisors and crew, engineering, quality assurance and production especially when a machine improvement is being planned         or work on
•    Evaluate and improve P&F Tool and Die’s processes for uptime and repeatability
•    Evaluate downtime situations for root cause and plan / implement improvements
•    Evaluate potential risks to similar processes and develop plans to resolve issues
•    Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of P&F Tool and Die
•    Monitor and participate in ensuring that all key performance indicators are being achieved and if not assist with action plans to ensure success
•    Participate in the development of maintenance personnel through training and collaboration
•    Assist in developing and /or updating preventive maintenance procedures
•    Coordinate with program managers in making sure that machine builds are according to P&F’s standard with regards to tooling, mechanical, pneumatic and robot configuration and programming from the design stage to project launch
•    Ensure that machine builds are monitored and inspected, making sure that machine integrators are keeping up with the agreed machine design
•    Ensure that work areas are keep clean, promote and practice good housekeeping along with all fellow Team members
•    Ensure Quality Workmanship through continuous improvement and training
•    Help to exceed Customer Quality Expectations with a focus on zero defects
•    Ensure the Standard Operating Procedures are followed
•    Participate in making and communicating improvements to existing procedures
•    Ensure quality checks are performed with the correct equipment at the required frequency
•    Communicate Problem Reports to other Team Members

•    Report Quality issues or concerns immediately – assist in containment and corrective actions
•    Help improve uptime/productivity/throughput with teamwork
•    Promote, participate in and support Continuous Improvements
•    Motivate and encourage positive, two-way friendly attitudes at all times
 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

     C of Q in a Maintenance related capacity would be an asset
•    5 years progressive work related experience with robotic assembly lines, weld lines
•    Excellent presentation, motivation and Team building skills
•    Excellent organizational, interpersonal and analytical problem solving skills
•    Must be able to work independently and as a team player
•    Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and oral
•    Able to be flexible in hours of work if needed in order to complete on-going project to its time line
•    Must be able to work in a strictly confidential manner
•    Must be dependable
