About the Role
This position reports directly to the MP&L Supervisor and entails a wide range of responsibilities focused on overseeing daily operations at Decostar, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Your Responsibilities

Who we are looking for
- Perform daily cycle counts, data entry, and inventory analysis using the QAD system.
- Create and update forms, spreadsheets, and reports as needed.
- Investigate inventory transactions and monitor inventory levels.
- Use MRP (QAD) or IT systems to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues.
- Order and manage packaging needs for facility.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory, accuracy, and cost savings.
- Lead the Production Control team and set goals/KPIs.
- Adjust schedules based on customer demand and operational needs.
- Oversee Just-In-Time (JIT) material flow and manage customer deliveries.
- Coordinate shipping, schedule trucks, and verify material availability.
- Monitor progress and report on packed vs. shipped items.
- Ensure workplace safety by following safety rules, using PPE, and reporting incidents.
- Conduct hazard inspections and uphold employee rights.
- Mentor team members and support their development.
- Participate in environmental and continuous improvement efforts to enhance operations.
- Perform other tasks as needed to support departmental goals.
Your preferred qualifications
- A minimum of five years of experience in the automotive industry, with a preference for candidates who have extensive experience in logistics and Decostar systems.
- At least 5 -10 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, with specific expertise in manufacturing assembly, production control scheduling, and materials management.
- Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc and experience with QAD or similar MRP systems.
- High level of detail orientation with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities.
