About the Role

This position reports directly to the Supervisor and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Decostar as described below:

Your Responsibilities

Who we are looking for


•    Follow all Decostar Industries health and safety policies and procedures that provide for a safe and healthful workplace for all Decostar Industries employees, contractors and visitors.
•    Attend all job and safety related training as required.
•    Do not operate any equipment, machinery or perform any job task unless you have competed documented training
•    Participate in all accident investigations, internal inspections or audits or those conducted by any regulatory agency.
•    Do not modify or by-pass any safety-related systems on any equipment or machinery. 
•    Immediately report any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors to your Team Leader, Supervisor or the Department Manager.
•    Immediately report any accidents, incidents or near-misses to your Team Leader, Supervisor Department Manager or the Safety Department.
•    Complete pre-operational safety checklists prior to operating any equipment or machinery
•    Inspect examination of workplace condition to ensure they conform to applicable standards. 
•    Demonstrates commitment and support personnel to reducing the impacts of its operation on the environment.
•    Assist Process Tech in performing routine checks to verify style/schedule agreement.
•    Monitor proper robot and spray gun function auditing key functionality indication equipment.
•    Assist Tech in refining manufacturing processes as required.
•    Analyze and evaluate statistical data, complete documentation of activities as required.
•    Troubleshoots production problems, performing DFT, Color and appearance/performance tests.
•    Follow work guidance to ensure the departmental key performance indicators are being measured and report non-conformances to specification.
•    Learn all jobs in the production area to enable job rotation.
•    Perform daily job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions or as identified by the Production Team Leader and supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
•    Participate in daily team meetings and offer ideas/suggestions that contribute to meeting the objectives of the department.
•    Check parts for defects and non-conformance and report appropriately in accordance to the control plan and redirect to the appropriate area.
•    Ensure proper housekeeping and returning all tools, etc. to the proper storage areas at the end of the shift.
•     Perform other duties as required.
•    Understand and maintain your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace.
•    Follow all safety guidelines and usage of all Personal Protective
•    Always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set good workplace standards and ensure all employees maintain those standards.
•    Know and maintain the safety rules for Decostar Industries.
•    Have knowledge of general workplace health and safety in regards to the general public and visitors to Decostar.
•    Do not use, operate or make changes to any equipment or machinery that may endanger any persons, including yourself.
•    Report any unsafe conditions immediately, including injuries, accidents, illnesses, and property damage.
•    Make sure you and any other employees are trained on any machinery or equipment that you/they are to use.

Your preferred qualifications

•    High school diploma or GED is required

•    Manufacturing experience preferred.
