About the Role

This position reports directly to the Molding Process Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:

Your Responsibilities

•    To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.

Who we are looking for

•    Follow all Decostar Industries health and safety policies and procedures that provide for a safe and healthful workplace for all Decostar Industries employees, contractors and visitors.
•    Attend all job and safety related training as required.
•    Ensure all new molds robot programs are taught before released to production.
•    Do not operate any equipment, machinery or perform any job task unless you have competed documented training
•    Participate in all accident investigations, internal inspections or audits or those conducted by any regulatory agency.
•    Do not modify or by-pass any safety-related systems on any equipment or machinery.
•    Complete pre-operational safety checklists prior to operating any equipment or machinery
•    Support and follow the Molding Department control plan on a daily basis ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of departmental goals and objectives within QS-9000/TS-16949 guidelines.
•    Train and develop Process Tech, Mold setters how to program robots and change out EOAT on robots.
•    Maintain daily attendance records, vacation and training of team members and forward necessary information to Molding Process Manager to be processed.
•    Conduct daily team meetings to maintain a well informed and focused team.
•    Ensure that training needs are being met with all Process Technicians, Mold setter and Material Handlers training procedures are being followed.
•    Ensure that all accidents are properly reported and accident investigations are completed within 24 hours.
•    Assist in the planning and scheduling of predictive and preventive maintenance directly related to molding department equipment, assign work orders to team members and follow up on work order closure.
•    Provide leadership to Process Techs, Mold setters and Material Handlers to ensure they are focused on achieving the molding department FTC, Uptime and Mold change time and cleanliness goals.
•    Provide troubleshooting input as required and assist in the repair of equipment thereby minimizing downtime, provide additional knowledge and or training that pertains to issues at hand.
•    Participate fully in Decostar continuous improvement teams as directed by the Molding Process Manager to ensure continuous improvement goals are met.
•    Participate in the development and implementation of a training format and development a qualification program for all Process Tech, Mold setters and Material Handlers.
•    Review, monitor and follow-up on a daily basis the activities and assigned work to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and cleanliness of a Process Tech, Mold setters and Material Handlers work performed.
•    Execute lock out / tag out procedures as required on all molding department equipment and facilities.
•    Assist in the implementation, development and maintenance of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
•    Maintain a high departmental standard of cleanliness in the Injection Molding and Masking areas.
•    Must either provide documentation of CPR training or complete CPR training within six-months. Must recertify CPR training annually.
•    Perform other duties as directed.

Your preferred qualifications

•    Associate’s Degree required. 5 years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.

•    Injection molding and tool set-up required.
•    Knowledge of automation/robots systems and controls is required.
