About the Role
This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:
Your Responsibilities

• To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.
• To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.
Who we are looking for
• Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of Direct and Amortized tooling.
• Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to Tooling.
• Record Tooling acquisitions in the accounting system.
• Track the compilation of project costs into Tooling accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
• Reconcile the balance in Tooling subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
• Book the Tooling amortization.
• Review and update the detailed schedule of Tooling (F6)
• Conduct analyses related to Tooling accounts as requested by management.
• Prepare audit schedules relating to Customer Tooling; assist the auditors in their inquiries.
• Track company expenditures for Tooling in comparison to the Tooling budget and management authorizations.
• Assist AR accountant with cash application, pricing reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare journal entries for month end closing.
• Maintain Accounting records for: journal entries, account reconciliations, tooling binders, capital binders, MMRs, CMF, and BOM approvals
• Clear AP checks and wires weekly.
• Assist with audit request, tax reporting, and any additional request from corporate.
• Assist AP with vouchering, vender statement reconciliations, and vender payments.

Your preferred qualifications
• Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated abilities to communicate with Customer, department team members and the Decostar management team
• Strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of QAD, EAM, and Microsoft Office Suite a plus
• Basic computer skills
