Role Summary

Establish multiple sources to ensure continuous supply and availability of all MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) components and packaging requirements ensuring the best value while maintaining both quality and delivery standards to satisfy the need of all departments in the organization. Coordinate with all departments regarding spare parts (safety stock) requirements ensuring appropriate tool crib and trade inventory levels considering cost, delivery, and movement.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of chemical inventory, volume on site, etc., for annual EPA Form R reporting

Research competitive supply sources for MRO, Components and Packaging purchases.

Develops and executes effective bidding, negotiation and pricing strategies to provide Eagle Bend with the best value in the marketplace for the dollars spent, operating in a manner that meets the policies, ethical standards and audit requirements of Eagle Bend.

Select and have available capable sources for Eagle Bend maintenance, installation and service contracts

Prepares and executes contracts according to Eagle Bend policies and procedures and in accordance with government regulations.

Exercises ample expertise and flexibility to procure all emergency requirements in cooperation with requisitioning departments and others supporting segments in the organization to ensure project completion.

Ensure appropriate inventory levels of manufacturing consumables in Tool Crib, Components and Packaging inventories. Analyze inventory trends to reduce wherever possible.

Cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection.

Advise employees, contractors and visitors of any actual or potential danger to their safety or health and ensure the necessary training and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.

Housekeeping and other activates as assigned

Make sure that all applicable State and Federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection

Reconciles variances between purchase orders and invoices. (Price, quantity, FOB point, terms of payment

Manage/Approve time and attendance of departments assigned

Manage and implement corrective actions and improvements as needed. Support sub-supplier corrective actions (NCR’s) where appropriate

Reviews trade bulletins, conducts interviews and visits suppliers

Issue purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner using current computer systems

Participate in regular physical inventory

Advise employees, contractors and visitors of any actual or potential danger to their safety or health, and ensure the necessary training and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided

Special Projects as assigned by Management.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Applicable Magna Env Dept related training specific to Tier II and Form R EPA annual reporting requirements, record keeping, etc.

Working knowledge of ISO 45001 processes related to outsourcing and/or procurement of third-party contractors

3-5 Years’ Experience

Manufacturing, Preferably Automotive


Inventory Control or Scheduling Experience
