Role Summary

Eagle Bend Manufacturing is hiring an experience Team Lead for our Assembly Department.  The Team Leader will assist supervisor in leading team members with operation of stamping presses or operation of resistance spot weld machines and in performing support operations (quality and material handling) in order to produce quality components or finished goods that meet or exceed customer requirements.  Available Shift: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility

  • Lead fellow team members in meeting or exceeding customer requirements

  • Operate resistance spot weld machines; assemble components to produce quality finished goods

  • Complete SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts as needed

  • Weld destruct testing & recording of data

  • Basic machine maintenance/weld tip changes

  • 100% visual inspection & packaging of product

  • Tagging and labeling per the work instructions

  • Safely operate forklift to move materials and finished goods

  • Enforce company policies as outlined in employee handbook

  • Create and implement Continuous Improvement suggestions

  • Work to increase efficiency and reduce scrap

  • Help to control overtime

  • Housekeeping and other activities as assigned

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Qualification

 

  • Leadership or Supervisory experience in Manufacturing 

  • Minimum of 3 years in Leadership or supervisory role

Additional Information

Skills

  • Able to operate crane and coil feeders
  • Ability to understand verbal work instructions provided in English
  • Ability to use measuring devices and fixtures
  • Basic math skills and mechanical ability
  • Good inter-personal skills
  • Leadership ability to help team achieve goals daily, weekly, and annually
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

 

Working Conditions 

  • Loud work environment; compliance with personal protective equipment as required
  • Frequent lifting (up to 30 lbs., though most parts weigh less than 5 lbs. each)
  • 100% visual inspection of finished goods and completed components
