Role Summary

The Human Resources People, Development & Training Coordinator works collaboratively with the Leadership team to support talent acquisition strategies, policies, processes and systems that drive the achievement of Rollstamps strategic objectives and maximize the human potential acros the organization.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement talent management strategies, policies and processes for external and internal recruitment of all levels of employment, proper administration of same, and related supporting process, using various methods including social media platforms, networking events and job fairs
  • Implement & maintain the Leadership Development Program through succession planning, development planning, talent programs, performance management and talent analytics for employees
  • Evaluating talent in order to identify employee readiness, talent gaps, and retention risks
  • Administer career and talent assessments
  • Measure training effectiveness
  • Provides leadership and coordination in the planning and implementation of various talent and recruitment programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Leads and implements process improvements; evaluates project status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve team effectiveness.
  • Communicates and interacts with internal and external customers to monitor and implement recruitment and development initiatives.
  • Researches, evaluates, and interprets trends and emerging human resources issues that have potential impact on the division; retention, recruitment, development.
  • Reviews and ensures accurate completion and timely submission of reports as required, with respect to assigned areas of responsibilities.
  • Participates in the development, coordination, and implementation of changes and/or improvements in human resources management systems and procedures for the department
  • Maintain positive employee relations.  Respond promptly to employee concerns and resolve issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Educational Requirements: Post-secondary education in a related area. CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.                  

Minimum Experience: 5+ years HR experience required, preferably in the automotive industry.

Computer Skills: Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, PeopleSoft.                                   

Additional Certificates/Diplomas: HR Diploma preferred              

Licenses/Permits Required: N/R                                                                                                      

Communication Skills:

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated excellent skills in employee relations.

Additional Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times.
  • Sound knowledge of applicable Legislation, such as Employment Standards Act.
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of the Employee’s Charter.
