Role Summary

The Stamping Press Operator is an integral member of the Maple Stamping's Press Shop Team and day-to-day operations!

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment that employs the use of heavy mechanical stamping presses (2-3 years of experience would be considered an asset).
  • Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job, including regular physical lifting of up to 25-30lbs.
  • Background in manufacturing with press experience including quality and safety initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
  • Thorough understanding of production quality standards and defects common to a press shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform changeovers, die protection controls and related equipment for all progressive/transfer operations.
  • Capable of training others to perform related tasks using SWI process.
  • Lift, move, stack, pack visually monitor parts through an established process on Progressive and transfer dies according to SWI.
  • Capable of understanding and completing paperwork accurately.
  • Meets or exceeds production, quality and delivery outputs as prescribed by established 
  • Complete Pre-Shift Press Safety Inspection ensuring compliance with all required Health and Safety procedures.
