Role Summary

Co-Ex-Tec, a division of Magna Exteriors, is hiring Release Analyst/Customer Service for our Concord location.  If you have a strong manufacturing background with 3+ years’ experience in materials/supply chain, and effective communication and organizational skills, we invite you to join our team.

Leadership and Scope Responsibilities

Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed. Review and adhere to division-specific health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, operating procedures, and policies. Respond and report in a timely manner to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects or non-compliance issues. Understand and uphold the policies that prohibit workplace violence and harassment.

Financial and Legal Responsibilities

Involvement in financial matters is on a level of providing data only and/or making recommendations.  May purchase small items with consent.

Health, Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

Key Job Responsibilities

1.    Prepare all required customer shipping documentation for all production and non-production shipments.  
2.    Ensure timely distribution of paperwork to all of the applicable departments.  
3.    Track and report all expedited shipments in accordance with department procedures.  
4.    Communicate all potential shipment shortages to management and applicable departments.
5.    Create and transmit all advanced shipment notifications (ASN) on time, as per customer guidelines.  
6.    Track and report ASN timeliness and accuracy, per department procedures.  
7.    Report, investigate and resolve all ASN problems.
8.    Perform ARCS (Automotive Release Control System) maintenance activities:  
9.    Ensure ARCS module of CMI System is accurately updated to support receiving releases; 
a.    create shipping documentation; send ASN’s; billing customers for the sale of all products; maintain ARCS system files (part master/ship to); 
b.    ensure customer releases are to the latest release and accurately reflect customer expectations; reconcile customer and ARCS CUMS; 
c.    investigate and resolve all release errors.
10.    Liaise with customer and communicate customer requirements to all affected activities within Co-Ex-Tec.  Electronically pull and/or manually enter all customer release requirements.  
11.    Investigate, resolve and report all shipping discrepancies, including customer debit memos.  
12.    Participate in the continuous improvement process.
13.    Perform all duties relating to customer systems, including updating CET contact listing
14.    Maintain all customer binders and filing for contacts, routings and reports.
15.    Maintain all shipping worksheets as required
16.    Participate in month-end and year-end physical inventory counts and valuation.
17.    Complete all QPSP-related activities; support ECR process.
18.    Initiate Customer build-outs.
19.    Access and Review Customer websites/ dispute resolution when required.

Education and Professional Experience

•    Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent
•    Post-Secondary Education, preferred
•    Minimum 3 years related experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment

•    Commitment to a high level of Customer Service
•    Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset
•    Knowledge of SMART/DRIVE/DDL/GM SUPPLY POWER/SIMS an asset.
